The guy on the right is Vlad Rimburg and, right now, he (in my opinion) might be the best fight choreographer in the world. If you check out his YouTube channel, you will find some absolute magic.
For me, what makes him extra special is that he’s a chunky dude. He’s not your normal svelte type. He rarely actually films himself in front of the camera but, when he does, he moves with speed and power. He’s a fantastic on screen fighter and, dare I say, a true influence to me.
i know Sammo Hung did the whole “husky choreographer” thing first, but it’s nice to see someone else rock the bigger guy look and produce such amazing work.

Say what you want about the “Ip Man” series, I personally think this is the best hand-to-hand work ever committed to film. It is absolutely flawless.
Granted, I think it’s undercranked (sped up a little) but the choreography is as crisp as it gets. Sammo Hung truly was at the height of his career around this time. The action he was coming up with was mind blowing.
And the crazy thing? Most non-martial arts fans can’t even name these two actors. One of the best fights ever and it’s not Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao, Donnie Yen etc.
And this fight is about three minutes long. It’s short, rapid, beautiful and just perfect. It’s not quite my favourite fight of all time but I think it’s top three.
